Our sweet sweet wonderful boy went in his sleep.... He was more than we could have ever asked for and then some. Oh, how we will miss you, our Houndson...but just for a brief moment in time and then we will all be together. Until then.... enJOY and know that we remember you with all our hearts.

Yuri has to be one of the most intelligent Borzoi alive!! He amazes us with his talents for singing and speaking and also his ability to learn. At nine months of age he obtained his Canine Good Citizen title!! He must take after his extraordinary Dad, BISS Ch. Oronzova Virshina Play With Fire, MX, AXJ, CD, F.Ch., JC, CGC! Suzanne Deghi truly is a credit to the breed whom we are very proud to call our friend along with her husband Ron and wonderful son, Russell.

Kirk and I acquired Yuri at a tender age of 4 months old from 2 very special ladies and now dear friends, Chris Bradley and Sherry Neigum.

Yuri's AKC registered name is Virshina Above the Redwoods, as Chris wanted this litter named after trees. As the most majestic tree is the Redwood and since his call name was "Yuri" after cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, "Above the Redwoods" came into mind.

Yuri stands approximately 34 1/2" at the withers - he is a very big, gorgeous boy that we are so blessed to have. He truly has given us JOY with his childlike antics.
